Reporting to: Operations Director / Regional Director
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a high-profile facilities management contract in North London.
The role will have full operational responsibility for service delivery, client relationships, financial performance, compliance and team management. You will be the key point of contact for the client, ensuring that all FM services are delivered safely, consistently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the FM contract.
- Develop and maintain a strong, trusted relationship with the client and key stakeholders.
- Lead and manage operational FM teams across hard and soft services.
- Ensure contractual KPIs, SLAs and performance targets are consistently achieved.
- Take ownership of contract budgets, P&L, forecasting and financial performance.
- Monitor and manage subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, statutory requirements and company policies.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, security, catering and other FM services as applicable.
- Review service performance and implement continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Lead monthly client meetings, performance reviews and contract-review meetings.
- Produce accurate management reports covering operational, financial and compliance performance.
- Manage client complaints, service issues and corrective-action plans.
- Identify and develop opportunities for additional works and revenue growth.
- Support mobilisation and transition of new services or projects where required.
- Manage recruitment, performance, development and succession planning for the account team.
- Work closely with technical, commercial, HR, procurement and H&S teams to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain excellent standards of customer service across the contract.
About You
You will be an experienced FM Account Manager / Contract Manager / Senior Facilities Manager with a proven track record of managing complex client accounts.
You should have:
- Proven experience managing a significant FM contract or account.
- Strong commercial and financial management experience, including budgets and P&L.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary FM teams.
- Excellent client and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of contractual KPIs, SLAs and performance management.
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance within FM.
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- A commercially minded approach with a focus on client retention and service improvement.
- Relevant FM qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience within a corporate, commercial, critical-environment or multi-site FM setting would be beneficial.
