Mechanical Engineer | Colindale | £45,000 | Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join a major Facilities Management provider on a commercial site in North London.

You’ll join an established engineering team responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the site, with a strong focus on mechanical plant, HVAC, plumbing, and general building services.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative mechanical maintenance
• Responding to reactive faults and breakdowns
• Maintaining AHUs and FCUs
• Working on pumps, motors, valves, seals, and bearings
• Carrying out plant room inspections and operational checks
• Supporting heating and chilled water systems
• Completing plumbing maintenance and minor repairs
• Carrying out water temperature checks and flushing
• Monitoring BMS systems and reporting plant faults
• Supporting basic electrical and general building services tasks
• Liaising with specialist contractors
• Updating CAFM systems and maintenance records

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation, or equivalent
• Strong commercial building services maintenance experience
• Good knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, and mechanical plant
• Strong mechanical fault finding ability
• Good understanding of plumbing and water systems
• Multiskilled building services experience desirable
• Professional and client facing approach
