Mechanical Supervisor – Central London – £57,000+ – Mon to Fri

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Supervisor to take the next step within a large commercial building services environment in Central London.

You’ll take responsibility for the day to day delivery of mechanical maintenance, supporting engineers, managing workloads, and ensuring planned and reactive works are completed to a high standard. The role remains technically involved, making it ideal for a supervisor who still enjoys being close to the engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervising the day to day mechanical maintenance operation
• Supporting and coordinating mechanical engineers
• Managing planned preventative and reactive maintenance workloads
• Working across AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves, and mechanical plant
• Overseeing heating, cooling, plumbing, and water systems
• Reviewing PPMs and ensuring maintenance schedules are completed
• Supporting fault finding and complex mechanical issues
• Managing specialist contractors and planned works
• Supporting permits, RAMS, and safe systems of work
• Completing reports and maintaining accurate site documentation
• Ensuring compliance tasks and statutory maintenance remain up to date
• Liaising with management and other engineering teams

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Mechanical, Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation, or equivalent qualification
• Strong commercial building services experience
• Previous supervisory, lead engineer, or senior engineer experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and HVAC systems
• Good fault finding and technical knowledge
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Experience managing PPM schedules and contractors
• Confident communication and leadership skills
