Multi-Skilled Engineer – Building Services

Location: Stratford, East London
Salary: £47,000 – £50,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a large and varied commercial estate in Stratford.

We are looking for a self-motivated and technically capable engineer who is comfortable working independently across a large site. Candidates can come from either an electrical or mechanical bias, but must have good multi-skilled building services knowledge.

Engineers who have previously worked within stadiums, large exhibition venues, major estates or similarly large-scale environments would be particularly well suited.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining building services across a large estate, working across both external areas and common landlord areas within the buildings.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Attending reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Maintaining mechanical and electrical building services
• External maintenance including lighting and power
• Working across common and landlord areas within multiple buildings
• Fault finding and resolving building services issues
• Carrying out project and additional works
• Working independently and managing your own workload
• Supporting other sites across the London portfolio occasionally when required
• Any travel required to additional sites will be paid.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for engineers who can demonstrate:

• Strong experience within commercial building services maintenance
• Electrical or mechanical bias with genuine multi-skilled knowledge
• Ideally a Level 3 qualification within a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline
• Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance
• Good fault-finding abilities
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• A proactive and self-motivated approach
• Experience working across large or complex sites would be highly advantageous
• Full UK driving licence – essential for use of pool vehicles on site

Experience within stadiums, exhibition centres, large commercial estates or major public venues would be particularly desirable.
